Still bothered...

I'm still bothered that someone thinks I am arrogant because of my "need" (I say desire) to share my makes me who I am...

Just like I said in my profile, I am one of those who talk about God too much in most people's opinion.
Hmmm...sitting here thinking about this again, pondering whether or not this person may be right...I just don't see how mentioning God and giving Him a mere fragment of the attention He deserves is arrogant.

Besides, when it comes to how "great" of a relationship I personally have with God, I would guess that when I die, God will be sure to point out to me that I don't have such a good relationship with Him...

I don't read my bible enough...
I don't pray enough
I am very selfish
I find myself unthankful,
disliking authority,
NOT sharing my faith,
getting angry (especially while driving)

give me a second, I'll think of more...

not always being kind,
sometimes I even repay evil with evil...(who me???)
gluttonous (the scale points this one out for me)

and now, I guess I can add...

But...I AM saved...when He died, he died for all my sin not just some of it. I am forgiven. Are you? (---ahh, here's the arrogant need to throw something in about God saving me again!)

Thankful, yes, but better ?, never..

This is interesting - I can understand how you feel. Perhaps this is encouraging:

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 1 Peter 4:12-16

Sometimes I wonder, if I am not persecuted, does that mean I'm not proclaiming the name of Christ loudly enough? Then other times I think I don't want to be the one that people are uncomfortable around because they know of my faith, and are afraid of what I will think of them. I always pray that Jesus would shine through my actions, and how I live my life and speak to others. My hope is that they will notice a difference in my life and feel comfortable around me so that when I have the opportunity to share with them, they will listen and respect me.

(((Big Hugs)))

You are so precious to the Lord. You keep it up. Keep being you, keep seeking Him and proclaiming His goodness!! I know how it is. We can't not speak of our love and thanksgiving for the Lord. The love we have and have been given just flows out!! It is our very life. I understand your frustrations. I hope you are feeling much better now.

oh, you both are sweet...I try not to look at things like this in the context of those verses. I mea, we live in America! Yes, I got a little insult--hardly a torture rack or being burned at the stake...or a cross...
I don't think I am really bothered by them as I am saddened how the world has fallen and how people now-a-days view a person with genuine faith.
To assume I think I have some wonderful relationship with if I am Paul or Peter or John...I am just this WI...spoiled in America with house, home, car, family, real friends... I am nothing...(I think Paul said that once too)

The Maker of all human beings is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart. This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect has been technically termed "Subsequential Internal Non-Morality," or more commonly known as S.I.N., as it is primarily expressed.

Some other symptoms include:
1. Loss of direction

2. Foul vocal emissions

3. Amnesia of origin

4. Lack of peace and joy

5. Selfish or violent behavior

6. Depression or confusion in the mental Component

7. Fearfulness

8. Idolatry

9. Rebellion

The Manufacturer, who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, is providing factory-authorized repair and service free of charge to correct this SIN defect. The Repair Technician, Jesus, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of these repairs. There is no additional fee required.

The number to call for repair in all areas is:

Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Jesus, into the heart component.

No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Jesus will replace it with:
1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Patience
5. Kindness
6. Goodness
7. Faithfulness
8. Gentleness
9. Self control

Please see the operating manual, the B.I.B.L.E. (Believers' Instructions Before Leaving Earth) for further details on the use of these fixes.

WARNING: Continuing to operate the human being unit without correction voids any manufacturer warranties, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous to list and will result in the human unit being permanently impounded.

DANGER: The human being units not responding to this recall action will have to be scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect will not be permitted to enter Heaven so as to prevent contamination of that facility.

Thank you for your attention!

Please assist where possible by notifying others of this important recall notice, and you may contact the Father any time by "kneemail".
