I got a card for my birthday (I turned 30 on the 9th) and my pastor's wife wrote in it what I think could be on a Hallmark! The card was of a flower and I don't remeber what the actual carrd said, but she wrote in the corner of the left side, "The beauty of a flower is great, but temporary. But a Christian watered by the water of the Word will bloom forever. This is my prayer for you."
Now, isn't that the sweetest thing you have ever heard? And what a picture it presents in my head! If I am faithful to Him, I will bloom. Daniel says that the faithful who lead the many to righteousness will shine like the stars.
(Daniel 12:3 3“Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness ofI think that sounds similar to the blooming forever. The opposite being a yucky wilted flower for all of eternity...(outside the city weeping and gnashing my teeth)
the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the
stars forever and ever.)
Rev 22:15Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the
murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying. (these are Christians -non-Christians are listed in Rev. 21:8)
The verse in Daniel says it's those who have insight will shine...so, how do we get insight? By readying His Word!
I want to shine!
I want to bloom!
I need to read His Word!
