Mind wanderings
So, where is my mind at this morning? I want to do well. I want to do better.
I am really excited that I can write again! It's been so long since I hurt my hand, that it's a breath of fresh air to be able to spend time writing. I like to write His word...brings peace to my heart when I am struggling with myself.
I met a man this week at McDonald's who professed to be a Christian and then said he was a Calvinist. But he wasn't. Not by what Mr. Calvin taught. He didn't believe the same. Isn't that the way it is though, people claim to be a follower of somebody in the past, but don't really believe what they believed. They just think that thye believe the same things, same ideas, but in reality they have their own perception of the way things are and what the Bible teaches. he was a very interesting fellow. I don't want to share what he said as I'm not sure I get what all he said...Anyway, it's not like there will be Lutherans, Catholic, Calvinists, Paul-ians, ect, in heaven. The only people there will be Christians. The bible does say you must be "Born-again" though. Which some people who claim to be Christians don't even know what that means...Can a person be saved and not be born-again? Can a person be born-again and not be saved? Nope...not according to the Bible I read...

The Maker of all human beings is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart. Right on target!
I guess the whole following thing will continue till Christ returns.They did it in the new testament and people follow people even today. Look at the droves that flock to popular teachers an preachers.
One day that will all end as those of us who are His children enter His kingdom.....a kingdom that will never fail!
Good for you for talking to the man. I like the ministry that Kirk Kameron and the other man started. Can't think of the other guy.
They use the 10 commandments to show God righteousness and mans sin. Then they take then straight to the gospel. The gospel is truth..nothing needs to be added to it.

Unfortunately, after all the good they do, they both believe that if you are truly saved, you will produce fruit. Your life will be evidence of your salvation and that brings a person right back to trusting in their works for salvation. A struggling person after hearing that will look at their life and say, "gee, I am really having some issues with sin, I must not be saved..." It's the little leaven that leavens the whole lump. To me, it's sad...My pastor has talked to Ray Comfort (that's his name) many times and he can't for a moment picture a Christian as living in sin...he sees it as impossible. But it is. How many examples are int he bible? Yes, we definitily shouldn't but to varying degrees we all do still sin... I'm babbling again! :)
