So I thought about it and thought about. Let it stew a bit inside my head...
I suppose my opinions may be way off compared to others. It seems most people look at a prayer warrior as someone who is constantly in prayer and always ready to drop everything to pray for others. I have to disagree, because that is what we all should do anyway and if we aren't, maybe there is something wrong with our attitude. I mean, if my sister in Christ calls me and asks for my prayer, I will pray for her and if she makes a general request, I pray for it until I know it has been answered. We are commanded over and over in scripture to pray for the brethren. To pray without cease, pretty well, comes naturally to the Christian walking in the spirit, I think. I mean, if I am washing a dish and it won't come clean and I say to myself, "God, come on...can't you help me get this off?" While is a rather insignifigant prayer (and not very respectful...), it is a prayer none the less. Any time I talk to God I am praying...
I think a prayer warrior is the person who, for whatever reason, can't be in the real battle-on the streets witnessing. The person who has to stay with the baggage (like in 1 Samuel 25:13) is still part of the battle, but in a different way. It is a great responsibility to look after the King's articles and baggage. So, if my husband can go downtown witnessing, and I must stay home to finish school for the day, I pray for him to have a blessed time, that the Lord use him two-fold as if I were there with him. My children are precious in God's eyes- His baggage! A prayer warrior to me, is the ones left behind at home while the battle is fought. 1 Samuel 30:24 speaks of a man who didn't want to share what his men and David had one in battle with the men who stayed behind to protect the baggage and David says:
"For as his share is who goes down to the battle, so shall his share be who stays by the baggage; they shall share alike."While I may not always be able to raise the sword of the Word in battle against people, I can always lift up God's active soldiers in prayer.

Excellant...thank you for answering my post on your blog...I appreciate it...
My reason for this was because of spending so much home due to fibromyalgia and feeling rather useless at times....or really not in the BATTLE.....but I know I can uphold those in the battle...whatever it is....and I have Pray without Ceasing hanging in my kitchen on my blackboard....as a reminder that our life should be a prayer...that everything no matter how trivial matters to God...
Great article/post

This was a new and different take on what I have heard before.
The important thing we have to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood. Ehp 6
So I can be at home and in the spirit I am called to battle against the forces of evil by drawing my sword-the word of God. We bind on earth through our prayers what by God's will has already been bound in heaven. We usher in His will by our prayers. We are to pray at all times but I do believe that sometimes burdens are given to Gods people. If we will accept the burden God joins with it His power to bring down and demolish all strong holds.
If we can carry worries around-and we shouldn't--can't we carry the burdens of God?
We fight the good fight. We are warriors. Not called to wear the armor of Saul but the armor of the Lord. He prepares us to go to war. We stand ready for our assignment.
Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes! I have been absent from the blogging scene for a while, but am back now.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, as well!
Hey Becca,
When I was reading what you said about the dishes, I thought of myself. If I misplace something... for instance my keys, a book, etc... no matter how small, I will stop and say "Lord, if it is your will, please let me find what I'm looking for" Many people would say that is dumb to pray for such small things, but the Bible teaches that we are to bring EVERYTHING to God in prayer!! Why not pray about the things that we think are "small"?
I agree that we should all be willing to stop what we are doing an pray, if someone asks us to... or if the Lord tells us to.
I like your definition of a prayer warrior!! Sometimes the devil will tell us that because what we are doing for the Lord isn't "public", what we do doesn't matter. But I believe that the Lord takes notice of EVERYTHING we do for Him no matter how big or small. (Whether cleaning the church, wittnessing, or just praying at home!) We need to remember that prayer is VERY important!!
Good post Sis!! :)
Love ya,
Jessica
I liked this post. It is always the will of God for us to ask for what we want and need and to pray for others. I see a prayer warrior as someone going into battle with world around us.You praying in the spirit against principalities and the things of this dark world. Intercession is something I have taken alot of time to research however I do not claim to know everything. There is a really nice book by dutch sheets on intercession if anyone wants to learn more.
Thanks for your comments! It's neat to meet new people and hear their thoughts! It also encourages me to keep writing! Thanks ladies!
