While none of it surprises me, it is none-the-less sickening.
Seems that Satan has two of the most influential people in the US doing his bidding while lazy Christians can't get away from the TV or whatever to share His word with people to make the only kind of "Change" that really matters. People make excuses by saying they don't have the gift...The great commission isn't to the gifted, it's to all Christians and it's about time Christians wake up. I know that good-hearted people say "we need to pray, we need to fast" and yes, we should (I don't know about the fasting, but it sure wouldn't hurt!) but the verse that comes to my head is
"How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?"
and then...
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel, immersing in the name of the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you"
These verses are written to everyone who believes Christ died for their sins. We need to get out there and DO something. Well, first, we need to know the gospel ourselves and then stop being ashamed of Him and tell everyone!
If you know the one way out of a burning building you'd scream "it's this way!!" but when it comes to the gospel, we say "oh, they're ok, if they want to know, they will seek and find..." You need to plant the seed...then God'll water it...
There is also an excellent post along with another video which is in regards to Oprah's church (I didn't know she had a church...maybe it's not her church, but she surely promotes it...) at The Sacred Calling.

You know it is sad...I wonder if people would have stood behind a black presidential candidate if he had been a Christian? I understand the emotionalism of having the first black president...the history warrants that. But would they have run after him if he was a believer. I know he says he is..but the fact that he has such a non Christian fan base I think is very telling.
Time will tell. Even if he falls flat on his face these four years they can still say...he did his best with the mess he was given.
Come Lord come!
